Carole and Gerry were married for nine years, from 1959 to 1968. They were a powerful songwriting duo, but for them, their most beautiful and important creation was their two daughters, Louise and Sherry (Carole later had two more children, Molly and Levi, in her second marriage).

Louise Goffin’s striking resemblance to mom

They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and if you take a look at Louise Goffin and her legendary mom, you can see the saying holds true for them, in all respects!

Louise, who was born in 1960, definitely takes after her mom. She has her curly locks, kind smile, and deep eyes, but their likeness isn’t limited to looks.

Louise’s artistry

Like her parents, Louise is a songwriter. She’s also a singer and plays several musical instruments.

She is not as widely popular as her mom, but a few albums she recorded received critical acclaim.

Louise most memorable work is Where You Lead, the theme song for Gilmore Girls. She and her mother sang it in a duet, and their live performance of the song brings on a rush of memories!

By the way, Louise’s younger sister, Sherry, deserves a mention here. Sherry is their mom’s manager and all three are very close. Talent runs in the family, doesn't it?
