The stunning sapphire ring is not the only thing the Duchess owns that is associated with the Princess. Recently, Kate appeared in public wearing a gift from her husband, Prince William, which was inspired by his beloved mother.
Kate Middleton made a surprise visit to the Imperial War Museum in London. She appeared wearing a beautiful navy blue dress that she teamed with a pair of nude heels. However, the fans’ attention was drawn to a gorgeous accessory on the Duchess’ wrist.
Kate appeared wearing a stunning silver watch by Cartier. It is believed to be the brand’s classic – the 'Ballon Bleu de Cartier' – which, according to Express.co.uk, costs around $6,420. The mom-of-three is thought to receive the watch as a gift from her husband back in 2014.
Prince William’s love for watches was instilled by his mother, Princess Diana. When William was just a little boy, Diana gifted him his own Cartier stunner. After her untimely passing, her children were given an option to take a piece of jewelry from her collection as a memory, and her eldest son asked for the gold Cartier 'Tank Française' watch.
Perhaps, William wanted to make his beautiful wife a part of the Cartier-watch-lovers club, so he decided to gift her a timepiece by the brand as well. The royal also added a special touch by having a sapphire inlaid into the watch. How romantic!
The Duchess of Sussex also owns a very special Cartier watch. She got it to mark the news that Suits was prolonged for the third season, which was an important milestone for her and for the show.
Moreover, Meghan had it engraved with “To M.M. From M.M.” and plans to give it to her daughter one day. What a special present, don’t you think?
