Meghan Markle Broke Royal Protocol With Her Recent Makeup, But Followed The Biggest 2019 Trend

Even before meeting Prince Harry, we could rarely see her sporting bold lip. Her friend explained that by saying she doesn’t feel comfortable wearing it. Moreover, after her engagement, it seemed that the red lipstick times are in the past, because royal protocol states that women in the British royal family should stick to nudes or pinks.
But, rebel as she is, Meghan decided to switch her usual au-naturel look and try something new, even though it’s forbidden.
Rocking the latest trend
The premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s Totem show can boast an evening full of events. But perhaps, one of the most memorable moments was the appearance of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. As always, they looked fabulous, but many noticed that Meghan was sporting a totally different makeup look.
The pregnant Duchess was wearing quite bold and daring berry lipstick. Even though it’s not something royal women choose, the mom-to-be proved her status as a style icon, because this particular color was seen all over the Spring/Summer '19 runways.
Prince Harry’s wife teamed up her rich berry lip with a subtle smokey eye and lots of highlighter. The makeup matched perfectly well with her black sparkling dress, which accentuated her cute baby bump.
What do social media think about her lipstick choice?
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is wearing red lipstick. I continue to love it when she does this because those royal watchers and "experts" before and after the wedding said she would never ever in the history of ever be able to wear red lipstick ever again ever. #MeghanMarkle pic.twitter.com/u3Utgs129G— Svetlana Filipov (@Svetlana2009) January 16, 2019
#MeghanMarkle It's a shame #Meghan has decided to go against all royal protocol ie legs without tights, dress above the knee, no heavy make up . This sets her apart from the masses in being a Princess. It is what the Queen expects of the royal family and she must adhere to it .— Elle Kay (@a2lk) January 16, 2019
Do you think Meghan disrespects the Queen by breaking so many protocol rules?
