When Stars Collide: Queen Elizabeth Was Quite Excited To Meet And Shake Hands With David Beckham

On June 26, Queen Elizabeth II hosted several young people at Buckingham Palace at the Young Leaders Awards ceremony. Nominees for the prestigious honor were selected from 38 countries around the world. They were being recognized for their outstanding contributions to solving mental health problems, provision of access to education, promoting gender equality, food scarcity, and climate change.

Several A-listers graced the occasion, including comedian and actor Sir Lenny Henry and Olympic boxer Nicola Adams. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also attended the event and sat alongside the Queen.

This is the fourth year since the awards ceremony started, and the retired footballer David Beckham was also in attendance. And the Queen seemed particularly delighted to meet David, as she was all smiles during the brief introduction and handshake.

David has never been shy about wearing his emotions. Unlike his wife Victoria, he is almost always smiling for the cameras.
