Actor Peter Fonda got the internet in a huff this week with his tweet attacking Barron Trump and his mother Melania in response to President Trump’s family separation policy. However, not long after his scathing tweet went viral, the star issued an apology for his remarks.

However, the actor had suggested that Americans take to the streets to protest the policy that has been in effect since April and resulted in the seizure of over 2,000 children at the border from their families.

However, before his apology went out, some other angry Twitter followers had picked up where Fonda left off. One particular follower stepped up the anti-Trump assault a notch, suggesting that he would also go after Chloe Trump, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and granddaughter to the President.

Fellow actor James Woods was swift top react as well, calling out Fonda for his aggressive attack on the Trumps. He also pointed out that Fonda’s remarks were fueling violence. In addition, Woods pointed the finger at Hollywood and its tolerance for unruly behavior.

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump issued an executive order bringing to end the family separation policy. However, he said that the “zero tolerance” stance on illegal immigration remains unchanged.

As such, the US border agents and the Department of Justice will continue to clamp down on illegal immigrants and prosecute them to extents permitted by law. Most Americans are still concerned about the plight of children whose parents and guardians are being prosecuted as President Trump’s policy only says so much about them.
