Prince Philip Will Have To Stop His Annual Cooking Tradition For The Respectful Reason

Date July 4, 2018 12:41

Prince Philip is threatened to lose his beloved summer tradition due to the natural disaster. The Balmoral visit may lack the famous barbecue because of constant fires near the estate.

Annual visit

Prince Philip has always been considered to be the jack-of-all-trades. Even in his late 90th, the royal asks for no help when he prepares such beloved barbecue during the summer visit to the Balmoral estate together with the Queen.

While Philip prepares the meal, Her Majesty serves the table as there is no staff to help them. However, the amazing tradition is now on the verge of extinction.

End of the tradition?

Lancashire firefighters ask to avoid setting fire near the Balmoral estate due to the high risk of inflammation. Several parts of the local woods have already experienced devastating heat resulting in damaging fires:

We have an extremely high fire risk at the moment. Please, no barbecues or campfires on the Estate.

This means unless the weather changes until the royal’s retreat to Balmoral, Prince Philip will have no chance to prepare his special delightful barbecue on fire. What an unfortunate end of the tradition! The Balmoral estate is open to the public until the end of the month when the royal family attends to the resort for the annual summer visit.

Ancient castle

The Balmoral estate has been a royal residence since 1852. It is not the property of the crown and is considered to be the family’s privacy. Her Majesty and her husband are not the only guests in the castle during the summer period. The entire royal family comes here at the end of July to enjoy fishing, hunting, picnicking, and barbecuing on the premises of the Scottish residence.

Unfortunately, Philip will have to pause his tradition for a year and hope for the best to resume it quite soon.
