Oops! Years Ago, Young Prince Charles Invited Married Camilla To Event Where They Met... Her Husband

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall got married in 2005, and in April 2018, the royal couple celebrated the 13th anniversary of their marriage. Nevertheless, it was not the first marriage for both of them.

Camilla’s first wedding to Andrew Parker Bowles was back in 1973 at the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks in London. It was not a happy union, and the couple got divorced in 1995, after more than 20 years of marriage.


Now, some details from Camilla’s first marriage are revealed. For example, the times she spent with Prince Charles while being married to Andrew.

In his book “Prince Charles: A Biography”, Anthony Holden describes one controversial moment from the times when Camilla was still married to another man.

He wrote that in 1980, Prince Charles invited Camilla to Zimbabwe to celebrate the country’s Independence Day. But there was a big surprise for everybody, when Camilla’s husband arrived to Zimbabwe at the same time.



The Buckingham Palace had to give an official response explaining to the public that Camilla is a married woman, and she doesn’t have any relations with Prince Charles.


Anthony Holden wrote this book on the occasion of Prince Charles’ anniversary. It is a portrait of the divorced Prince, now a widower, facing a choice between his children, the love of his live, and the throne.
