How the show got ended?

The magical series, I Dream of Jeannie aired for five seasons on NBC from the year, 1965 to 1970. She portrayed the role of a lovable 2,000-year-old genie named Jeannie who happens to fall for a USAF pilot on a deserted island. After 30 years it ended, Barbra talked to Closer Weekly and shares how she didn't like the final plot herself.

Both the lead actors were unhappy with the network’s decision to have their characters wed in a 1969 episode. Maybe a genie spending her life with a human was too far-fetched for the audience. It also meant that the show deviated towards an ordinary story. Barbra confessed:

It killed the show.

Maybe, a revival of the series could mend past mistakes in the storyline? Well, we'd certainly need Jeannie to get the show rebooted. Talk about 3 wishes, fans have only one!
