Sometimes being too close to the problem can cloud your judgment. One can only see the big picture after attaining a specific distance from it. Same happened to Kiefer Sutherland who has now found a blessing in disguise.
Julia Roberts and Kiefer Sutherland were one of the most eminent Hollywood couples during the nineties. Their chemistry hit off on red carpets appearances and on the big screens alike. The year 1991 marked a devastating event for the pair and the fans, Julia decidedly called off their wedding only 2 days prior to their matrimonial union. This heated out in a scandalous rumor of Julia having an affair with Keifer's friend, Jason Patric.
How does Keifer feel about it years later?
Definitely, liberated! In an interview with Rolling Stones, the actor eliminated any signs of having hard feelings about his past. Keifer revealed that he was surprised Patric never spilled the beans to him and shared about his inclination towards Julia. The only bitter thing that poked him was the fact, he got to know about it from strangers.
About his ex-fiance, he only had good words to adorn her with. He admired her to be brave enough and do what was best for both of them. He says:
I commend Julia for seeing how young and silly we were, even at the last minute, even as painful and as difficult as it was. Thank God she saw it.

Who did Julia end up marrying?
The actress had her fair share of admirers from the film industry whom she dated along her successful career. She leapfrogged Patric and married Lyle Lovett who happened to be an actor and singer. Their marriage had a short life of two years. Julia finally found her 'love of life' in cameraman, Daniel Moder who she met on the set of her film The Mexican in 2000.
All is well that ends well, both Keifer and Julia happened to make the right choices at an almost right time. And this is as good as it gets while choosing a partner.
