It's A Girl! Matthew And Amelia Wright Are Expecting A Baby After Their 7th IVF Procedure

The former host of The Wright Stuff on Channel 5, Matthew Wright, met his current wife Amelia Gatte in 2007 at a garden party hosted by Miriam Stoppard. At the time, she was an executive at Sony Music. After a three year relationship, the pair said their “I dos” in a private ceremony in the Caribbean.

The wedding came soon after Amelia suffered an ectopic pregnancy. Between then and now the couple have tried to get pregnant but sadly, none of the IVF procedures they went through were successful. However, the couple has some good news. It finally worked.

Earlier this month, Amelia shared a post on Twitter announcing that her last round of IVF was successful and she is expecting a beautiful baby girl.

The happy couple were guests on Lorraine this week and shared the delightful news with their fans. Amelia revealed to the show host that in the 8 years since she started trying to get pregnant, she had six miscarriages. Thankfully, this seventh time was a huge success.

Matthew was quite emotional during the interview and could not hold back his tears as his wife told their story. Losing a baby can be very hard on women but men also get to feel pain. Matthew and Amelia stayed together through their difficult times and now have reason to celebrate.
