Barack Obama is a cool guy, it’s hard to deny it. He probably was one of the most close to the public presidents ever, not shying away from appearing on popular TV shows. Mr. Obama also met a lot of celebrities during his presidential years.
Stars like Katy Perry, David Beckham, Eva Longoria, Meryl Streep, and many more were lucky to have a chat with their favorite president.

But there is one meeting that Mr. Obama will probably never forget.
“President of what?”
Anna Kendrick is a feisty young lady, who is never afraid to speak what’s on her mind, even if it might get her into trouble. The 33-year-old recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to talk about her latest film, A Simple Favor. During the interview, the actress recalled her meeting with Obama in 2012, which was quite unusual as she managed to assault then-president in the process.
According to Kendrick, the story began with an unexpected invite from the White House. She said:
I got an email saying, ‘Hey, do you want to meet the president?’ Naturally, I said, ‘Of what?’ and they were like, ‘The country, you idiot.’
The actress couldn’t refuse the exciting opportunity, and was the first one to appear at the event in LA. Later, when Obama and other attendees arrived, the president started discussing the economy and during his speech, he mentioned Kendrick and her film Up in the Air.
When the two finally started chatting, the president said he hoped he hadn’t embarrassed her by singling her out. And how did Kendrick respond? She jokingly blurted out:
Yeah, you’re such an a**hole.
Luckily, Obama has a great sense of humor as he was captured doubled-over with laughter.
Fans reacted to the story
Before coming to the show, the actress let her fans know she will be a guest there, teasing them about the embarrassing story.
I’m on @colbertlateshow tonight! I tell the story of the time I accidentally insulted a .......*very* famous person. To their face. Because I’m the worst and I shouldn’t be allowed to interact with people. Fun!! pic.twitter.com/mIzfrWhkZu— Anna Kendrick (@AnnaKendrick47) September 15, 2018
Literally watching this now. Omg I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. You are so freaking funny and cute 😍😍— luis rodriguez (@chino1982) September 17, 2018
Good actress, but tried to hard to be funny at Stephen Show, I bet his wife didn’t think was that funny. Also calling president AH was very immature and disrespectful. Set some boundaries or might hurt the wrong people feelings. Just saying. Great movie though— Lucia smith (@luciasmith126) September 16, 2018
Ok, Obama's a good sport. I think you're talented. I loved Up in the Air. But imagine a black woman doing the same thing. You could almost get away with shooting someone in the face on 5th Ave. Lucky you?— Lori James (@LJBrightview) September 15, 2018
My dream lady,,, I think Anna is fantastic, beautiful, out spoken, beautiful smile, gorgeous eyes. Sorry the short version "" she's a Angel..— Adrian Van Zyl (@zyl_adrian) September 15, 2018
Kendrick is probably the only person who could get away with calling the president an 'a**hole'.
