Luckily, Sigler’s husband Cutter Dykstra has been supportive of his wife and made her feel that the disease wouldn’t affect them as a couple. But when she found out she was pregnant with her first child, she was terrified. As she revealed on Shondaland.com:

I had to think about how my MS would affect someone else . . . With my son, his safety depended on me!

The actress worried she wouldn’t manage to take care of her children and protect them. But despite these doubts, Sigler only became stronger, all for the sake of her 2 sons, Beau and Jack:

I walk Jack every day in his stroller, around the block, no matter how long it takes me. I take Beau to hockey and karate and baseball, and sit on my chair and cheer him on. I am definitely participating in life the way I always dreamed.

Both kids are lucky to have a mom who is trying her best even though she’s often in pain. They show her that, no matter what, she’s still their beloved mother who is totally deserving of their reassurance and love.
