Nothing beats the support of friends and loved ones especially when you're facing a particularly difficult experience. Thanks to a strong show of love, Olivia Newton-John knows she's not alone.

Living in the moment

The Grease star was diagnosed with cancer for the third time in 2017. In an interview with 60 Minutes, the 70-year-old actress said that she felt lucky to be alive having "been through this three times."

Based on her approach in the interview, it's clear that Olivia has chosen to take each day as it comes and stay positive every step of the way.

Hugh Jackman's special message

Olivia Newton-John's raw and honest description of her condition has ignited major support from many of her fans. One of them, actor Hugh Jackman, posted an emotional message to the actress.

During a performance of 'The Man, The Music', Hugh took a moment to pay a wonderful tribute to the actress with the help of his audience. In a video he posted to his Instagram page, the actor began, saying;

Hi Olivia, it's Hugh, with 15,000 of your closest friends and family...

Then he went on to say that Olivia's interview on 60 Minutes left him emotional and while addressing Olivia directly, Hugh described her as;

...the most amazing person, the most amazing mum, the most amazing ambassador, singer and dancer.

As the audience cheered and applauded behind him, Hugh declared, "we just love you."

He knows what it's like

Apart from being a big fan of Olivia's, Hugh Jackman's outpouring of love and support may also be due to relatability. According to Daily Mail, the actor himself has had six surgeries to remove skin cancer since 2013.

He struggled with recurring cases of basal cell carcinoma so he's no stranger to frequent health issues.

What a beautiful way for Hugh to show some love to a fellow struggling actress.
