“Too Young” Internet Users Mom-Shame Jessica Simpson For Dyeing Her 7-Year-Old Daughter’s Hair A Bright Color

Date August 1, 2019

There is no doubt that Jessica Simpson is a successful actress, singer, and fashion designer. However, all her career achievements haven’t stopped her from being a loving mother to her kids.

A doting mother

Jessica has three beautiful children, Maxwell Drew, 7, Ace Knute, 6, and Birdie Mae, 3 months. Her last child was welcomed in May 2019. With all children under the age of 7, it is a herculean task to juggle her career and parenting duties.

She said:

“Three kids is no joke. It is definitely constant, and the biggest challenge for me is trying to be present when I am pulled in so many directions. They are all in such different phases now.”

However, she would not have it any other way!

Jessica’s parenting slammed

Jessica’s first daughter, Maxi, is growing up to become a fashionista like her mother. Yesterday, the 39-year-old shared a stunning photo of Maxi with her hair dyed in different hues of purple.

The stacked post showed that Maxi had gone to the famous celeb salon Nine Zero One to get the look. She got the inspiration for the hair from the character Maleficent in the Disney movie, ‘The Descendants.’

The post garnered a lot of reactions. Most people loved Maxi’s hair and gushed about how she is growing into a beauty.

@riawna wrote:

“She was a natural, in her natural habitat. I think we will be seeing her more than her momma.”

Even the official Instagram account of The Descendants dropped a comment that read:

“Looking good!”

Others, however, didn’t agree the hair looked right on Maxi. They came for Jessica, slamming her for subjecting her young girl such an adult beauty procedure.

@marizela_love_ bashed:

“So young! It’s a shame.”

@Olgalilia asked

“Isn’t she too young to have her hair dyed?”

@cseamanis opined:

“Don’t like it at all !!! Much better before the color. The new color make her look older than her age.”

Not a first time!

This isn’t Jessica’s first time of being mum-shamed. In April, the ‘Blonde Ambition’ actress shared a photo of her last born, Birdie Mae lying on her stomach for a photoshoot session.

It didn’t take long before netizen slammed her for risking her daughter’s life.

Just because Jessica lives her life in the spotlight, doesn’t mean people have the right to teach her how to parent. Hopefully, this act of mum-shaming ends soon.
