Gone Too Young! Fans Mourn The Death Of 29-Year-Old 'Bachelorette' Contestant Tyler Gwozdz

The world is saying a tearful goodbye to Tyler Gwozdz, The Bachelorette season 15 contestant, who passed away at the age of 29 on January 22.

What happened to Tyler Gwozdz?

TMZ reported that Gwozdz was hospitalized last week due to a suspected overdose. He stayed in the hospital in stable condition, but the officials later confirmed that Tyler died this Wednesday.

Although the cause of death wasn't revealed at this time, TMZ stated that they obtained 911 phone call that landed Tyler at the hospital and it was clear that the caller was convinced he overdosed.

People online mourn Tyler's death

Many were shocked at the news of Tyler Gwozdz death. The Bachelorette representatives released an official statement expressing their condolences:

Tyler Gwozdz, 29, former “Bachelorette” Season 15 contestant (Hannah Brown), has passed away. The eldest of five, Tyler was a loving son and friend to many. A successful entrepreneur, Gwozdz was planning on becoming a psychologist, working to obtain his PhD. Tyler had an adventurous spirit and a zest for life. We are heartbroken to hear the tragic news of Tyler’s passing today. Our thoughts are with the Gwozdz family and his friends.

It's devastating when a real person we all used to see and care for on television passes away. Unfortunately, Tyler Gwozdz wasn't the first one, and he won't be the last.

  • Another The Bachelorette contestant from season 10 Eric Hill died on April 23, 2014 at the age of 31 due to a paragliding accident;
  • Gia Allemand, The Bachelor contestant from season 14, passed away on August 14, 2013 at 29 due to suicide.
