Unforgotten: Christopher Reeve's Son, Will Still Thinks Of His Dad "All The Time", 15 Years After His Death

Date October 11, 2019

Will Reeve was only 13 when his dad, Christopher passed away. His crippling tragedy still haunts him but, he chooses to only pick the good memories of him.

Dana Reeve had reminded her husband "You're still you" when he had just lost control of his body. That's how the Superman star's children have managed to remember him - as a doting father and a kind man.

Christopher became a quadriplegic after meeting a terrible horse-riding accident in 1995. He went on to live a whole decade fighting the complications of paralysis until his death on October 10, 2004.

After his spinal injury, he and his wife, Dana founded their own charity. The organization is headquartered in Short Hills, New Jersey and is dedicated to finding treatments and cures for who suffer the same neurological disorders as Christopher.

Unforgotten

The Access magazine reached out to Will Reeve on his dad's 15th death anniversary. The interviewer, Lilliana Vazquez asked him what does he misses the most about his father. The handsome hunk who happens to be a correspondent for Good Morning America sorted some sweet recollections to narrate.

Will said he thinks "all the time" how his dad taught him how to ride a bike. Christopher was in a wheelchair majority of the time but, he still encouraged his son by oral instructions.

He used to accompany him to hockey practices. When Christopher died, Will turned to the playground only months later. It was a way for the doting son to reconnect with his amazing dad.

He makes daddy proud

Will first appeared in Glenn Close’s 1997 TV Movie, In The Gloaming. He then went on to play a small role in The Brooke Ellison Story, a film that had his dad in the director’s chair. Ultimately, he landed a hosting gig with ESPN and honed his skills in the journalism world.

Dana Reeve had passed away months after her husband's demise. After losing both of his parents, Will must've been at his lowest. But, now when we loot at him, we see a strong man who would've been Dana and Christopher's pride.
