Bode Miller And His Wife Morgan Are Expecting Identical Twin Boys A Year After Their Daughter's Tragic Death

Date August 13, 2019

Bode and Morgan Miller are to add two more members to their big family!

Back in 2018, nearly 4 months after Bode and Morgan Miller's 19-month-old daughter Emeline drowned in a pool, the couple confirmed to PEOPLE they had welcomed a son.

The son is the couple's third child together and Bode’s fifth overall. It is believed Morgan was about 5 months pregnant with a baby boy at the time of the gruesome accident.

Miracles do happen and the Millers announced exciting news — they are expecting twins a year after Emeline's demise.

The former Olympic skier and the professional beach volleyball player are having identical twin boys per their announcement on Instagram on August 12. Morgan's due on November 11.

The expectant mother mentioned her late daughter in an Instagram post.

Losing a child while pregnant was the most confusing experience of my life ... It felt like by loving my son, I was trying to replace her ... But let me say this ... I couldn’t have been more wrong.

You can read the full lengthy message on her account.

A GoFundMe set up for the Millers in honor of their late daughter Emeline had raised over $26,000 in 2018, and the couple has planned to use those donations to promote "causes connected to water safety education."

We are inspired to make our baby girl’s memory go forth and help prevent as many drownings as possible.

Congratulations to the couple! It's been a difficult year for everybody, but as Morgan wrote, "her joy and grief can coexist."
