Rosie O’Donnell is giving fans an update on legendary broadcast journalist Barbara Walters amid reports on her alleged failing health.

On September 25, Barbara turned 90. Sad as it is, the ailing journalist allegedly spent her 90th birthday alone without friends. According to RadarOnline.com, the TV personality spends much of her time in isolation.

Walters' publicist told Radar the former View host’s daughter, Jackie spent the special day with her.

Rosie recently shared some important news with fans, informing them about her former The View boss.
Speaking to Us Weekly at The Sound Inside opening night on Broadway in New York City, the comedian said:

I don’t think she’s up to speaking to people now. I think she’s a wonderful woman, and it’s hard to age in America, never mind if you’re internationally famous. I’ll always love and respect her and I think she’s a great person.

Earlier this year, the reports claimed that Walters is confined to a wheelchair as a result of her illness. The 90-year-old hasn't been seen for over three years.

Dispelling rumors

However, back in September, The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg said Barbara Walters now is doing fine despite reports that her health is failing rapidly.

Goldberg in an interview with Extra TV shut down the rumors about The View creator’s health and made it clear that Barbara is doing well. She said:
