Penny Lancaster Is Afraid Of Thinking About Rod Steward's Passing Due To Their 26-Year Age Gap: "I Have To Prepare"

Penny Lancaster and Rod Steward keep their marriage strong for more than a decade. But it appears that their 26-year age gap makes Penny feel scared sometimes, and here is why.

Age gap might be a problem

Rod Steward is an experienced family guy as he has been married three times. With his third wife, charming Penny Lancaster, the rock singer finally found what he was always looking for in a marriage – mutual support, understanding, and love, of course.

Steward is 74 and Lancaster is 48. Their 26-year age difference seems to never be a problem for the spouses. However, in an interview with Loose Women, Penny confessed that such a fundamental age gap scares her sometimes.

Lancaster said:

Rod’s in his 70s and we have a huge family base at home. On occasion I think, when I’m Rod’s age, I won’t have my husband and the children will be grown up and gone and I have to prepare.

The model added that she realized that Rod had huge baggage of previous relationships but it didn’t stop her from marrying him.

When I met Rod, I realized it wasn’t just us, it was the children, the ex-wives. I had to show that I was genuine, show kindness, and it works.

Love you forever and ever

Rod and Penny have already been married for 10 years when they decided to renew their wedding vows in 2017.

The lovebirds arranged a beautiful private ceremony in their Essex home with their children and closest friends in attendance.

The singer commented on his decision to renew their wedding vows:

Penny is my whole world. What a girl. Love means many things to many people but to me, it’s wanting to share everything with the one you love and I love Penny more now than ever, if that is at all possible.

Looking at this beautiful couple, we understand that true love exists. Wishing Rod Steward and Penny Lancaster to keep their steamy chemistry alive for many long years!
