Fans and friends mourn passing of The Karate Kid actor Rob Garrison. His iconic role as Tommy in the child hit movie made Rob a true legend for the entire generation.

Actor Rob Garrison passed away on Friday aged 59 after a month-long hospitalization. According to reports, Garrison suffered from severe health issues due to kidney and liver failure.

Rob was best-known for his role as Tommy in the legendary film The Karate Kid. Later, the star appeared in the movie’s sequel.

Garrison also appeared in other famous movies and TV series, including Columbo, Coach, MacGyve, and Homefront.

The late star will be remembered by his brother and his sister-in-law.

Rob’s sibling Peter told TMZ:

My brother was a fun-loving guy. He enjoyed people and he enjoyed life... He will definitely be missed.

Sony Pictures Television also paid tribute to the late actor via a statement to People:

We are saddened by the sudden passing of Rob Garrison, who delighted Karate Kid and Cobra Kai fans alike throughout the generations.
