Kelly Ripa Shares The Emotional Impact Lola's Move To College Has Had On Their Family And Especially Youngest Son Joaquin

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos just said goodbye to their daughter Lola who left the family nest to go off to college.

It was a very emotional affair. Ripa even wrote in her Instagram post that "daddy's sobbing" as they realized their little girl is all grown up.

Lola's move didn't only affect her parents

While talking about Lola going off to college on Live With Kelly And Ryan, Ripa said she and Mark were prepared to go on an emotional journey, but she had no idea how it will impact their youngest son Joaquin:

We moved Lola into her dorm and it’s one of those things that you don’t realize how close [the kids are]. The younger two are really close in age. Like, I didn’t even know I was pregnant with the third one because I was still nursing the second one!

Kelly continued:

I just assumed that, you know, I was just gaining weight from nursing. I was that one person who was gaining weight from nursing. So they really are very, very close and I didn’t realize how close they were until it was time to say goodbye.
