The dream wedding

Brad and Jen's marriage might have been short-lived, but their wedding was something the 'Friends' star absolutely loved. Why wouldn't she? It cost a whopping $1 million!

However, apart from the extravagant cost, the details of the ceremony were what truly made it a dream come true for her!

Venue and security

As revealed by The Mirror, Jen and Brad rented a five-acre cliff-top estate for their ceremony, and to ensure maximum privacy, the airspace above the estate was restricted on the day of the wedding. They spent about $100,000 on security and made their guests sign a confidentiality agreement.

The iconic wedding dress

As usual, Jen was the star of the ceremony in a floor-length low-back satin dress that was embellished with glass beads. Lawrence Steele designed it. The lovely dress was paired custom-made ivory suede heels by Manolo Blahnik. She accessorized with a Swarovski crystal crown underneath her pearl veil.

Limited guests

The ceremony was the definition of exclusive as only 200 guests were invited, including Jennifer's colleagues from 'Friends.'

The music and vows

At the couple's disposal was a 40-member gospel choir, who performed a song from Blur's 1999 album '13' as the couple walked. While saying his vows, the 'Fight Club' star promised to "split the difference on the thermostat." How cute!

Decoration and reception

The Pitts splurged a whopping $75,000 on flowers for decoration to achieve a zen garden look. There was also a slate fountain present. Guests at the reception were served with a variety of meals from shrimp to caviar, gourmet pizza, and seafood as the main course.

Fireworks and cake

The highlight of the ceremony a 13-minute firework display which reportedly cost $20,000 and the giant six-tier white frosted cake that they cut.

While all that glam didn't keep their union forever, Jennifer reveals that she doesn't regret the experience at all. While speaking to Vanity Fair, she said,

"I still feel so lucky to have experienced it. I wouldn't know what I know now if I hadn't been married to Brad. I really love him. I will love him for the rest of my life. He's a fantastic man. I don't regret any of it, and I'm not going to beat myself up about it."

Not happily ever after

While many speculate that it was Brad's affair with Angelina Jolie that ended their marriage reports suggest that other factors had a hand in their split.

It was revealed that Brad was beginning to lose his zest for life in the marriage. Also, they never agreed when it came to having children.
