Iconic country singer Carrie Underwood met a deaf fan whose rendition of her hit song, ‘The Champion’, went viral.

Savannah broke the internet

Earlier this year, Savannah Dayan from Maryland became an internet sensation when she made a heartwarming rendition of Carrie Underwood’s hit song, ‘The Champion.’

While it is no new thing for people to cover Carrie’s song, Savannah’s version was exceptional because she performed the song with sign language. Savannah was born deaf.

The YouTube video of her performance has garnered over 80,000 views since its upload in March. When speaking to Good Morning America about it, the 8-year-old said:

“I love her songs because it is easy to understand, and her expressions are clear.”

A dream come true

Months after Savannah’s viral performance, the unexpected happened when Carrie officially met her. During the singer’s ‘Cry Pretty 360’ tour of Washington, D.C., on Friday, she hung out with the little star performer.

That wasn’t all; they also performed a special duet of the 2018 hit song. Carrie delivered an acapella version of the track wheels Savannah happily sang along using sign language.

Underwood shared a clip of the electrifying performance on her Instagram with the heartwarming caption:

“Savannah! You bring so much joy to #TheChampion! Thank you for such a special moment last night in D.C. 🤟“
