Designers often clamor to dress the first lady, but this hasn't exactly been the case for Melania Trump.

Why do designers boycott Melania Trump?

Granted, Melania has a fair amount of designers who'd jump at the chance to dress her, like Tommy Hilfiger, Thom Browne, Mand others. There are also some who are undecided, like Jeremy Scott, and others who cannot separate her from her husband's policies, and thus have chosen to opt out of associating their brands with the first lady.

For example, Zac Posen, Tom Ford, André Leon Talley, Marc Jacobs and many others who don't support Donald Trump's political views decided not to dress Melania.

Expert Jadan Horyn confirmed that “ridiculous” online trolls hate the First Lady of the United States simply because of her choice to marry Donald Trump. Horyn, likewise, said that she's been unfairly treated by the art and fashion world in America. Even Vogue's editor in Chief Anna Wintour decided to boycott Melania - while allowing Michelle Obama to be on the cover of the magazine. The expert believes it to be "disgusting and unacceptable".

Tom Ford explained his decision by saying:

"Personally, I’d rather put my energy into helping out those who will be hurt by [Donald] Trump and his supporters,"

Well, maybe for some people there politics and fashion are related. Still, it may be that designers focused on the wrong person, just like some people on the Internet:

It looks like some people still think they can judge but this, in fact, is a very bad feature we all should get rid of!

Melania doesn't deserve to be treated like this, just because she once fell in love with Donald Trump. What do you think of this situation?
