Apart from the beautifully crafted storyline, it was the seamless chemistry between actors Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte that truly got our blood boiling!

Julia and Nick played the role of two competing Chicago newspaper reporters who join forces to unravel the mystery behind a train derailment, and in the process found love.

Unfortunately, all of the chemistry on-screen didn't translate to real life.

Sworn enemies

According to reports, Roberts and Nolte never saw eye-to-eye while on set as they got on each other's nerves every second of the day. The actress wasn't a fan of Nolte's machoism and used every chance to insult him.

Describing their relationship, Roberts once said:

"From the moment I met him, we sort of gave each other a tough time and naturally we get on each other's nerves."

She added:

"While he can be completely charming and very nice, he's also completely disgusting."

Nick also says Roberts isn't a nice person

According to The Telegraph, Nolte and Roberts had to film some of the scenes separately. When he got wind of the fact that Julia called him "completely disgusting," Nolte said:

"It's not nice to call someone disgusting, but she's not a nice person. Everyone knows that."

It's not sure what could have caused the feud between the duo, but, sadly, they were not able to find common ground.
