Worth The Wait! Tamron Hall Returns To TV With A New Self-Titled Talk Show After Maternity Leave

Date September 5, 2019 13:50

Earlier in spring, the Today alum announced her pregnancy by sharing photos of an intimate baby shower. She had kept it a secret for 32 weeks. Tamron feared miscarriage as she conceived her child through IVF. Now, all the dark clouds have subsided with the sunshine of new beginnings.

The host officially became a mom at the age of 48 on April 24. She and her husband, Steve Greener welcomed a sweet baby boy. The couple named him Moses. Hall was overjoyed as she captioned:

Moses & Mama!! I can’t wait to introduce y’all to my #sonshine. Photo credit: Dad who can’t stop crying tears of joy. Thank y’all for the love and support. It got us here.

Major comeback

After exiting the Today show, Tamron had moved on to anchor Deadline Crime with Tamron Hall. She has remained off-screen for months as she relished in newly-found motherhood.

Her return was absolutely worth the wait! As People magazine reports, Tamron Hall's new self-titled show is only days away from premiering on ABC network. Tamron Hall talk show will go on-air on Monday, September 9.

The proud mom is also featuring her 4-months-old tot and he's a natural on camera already. She summed up the amazing odds, saying:

It’s like when you’re a child and you see Christmas on the calendar but it’s only June and you think it will never happen. Then suddenly it’s right there. A year ago I could not have imagined this.

She wasn't perfectly replaced

In February of 2017, Tamron lost her time slot co-anchoring Today‘s 3rd hour to journalist Megyn Kelly. After that, she decided to leave NBC when her 10-year contract ended. Soon the ratings fell on new host's joining and Hall commented:

Megyn’s success or not, I already knew they made the wrong choice when I left the door.
