She Looks Like Her Nanna! Michelle Obama Pays A Heartfelt Tribute To Her Late Grandma & Dandy On Grandparents' Day

Date September 9, 2019 13:51

Michelle Obama wins everyone's hearts with her constant charity work, global empowerment, and honesty about her personal life.

The former FLOTUS has recently begun to share some private images from the best-selling memoir Becoming. She posted a touching picture with her parents, paying a beautiful tribute to them:

My father, Fraser, taught me to work hard, laugh often, and keep my word. My mother, Marian, showed me how to think for myself and to use my voice.

Michelle Obama is known for her high morale, strong spirit, and big-hearted personality. Though a person educates own self throughout a lifetime, parents and even grandparents play a crucial role in a child's upbringing, too.

The former First Lady posted a throwback photo with her grandmother 'Grandma' and grandfather 'Dandy' on Instagram, talking about their lives on Grandparents' Day.

Grandma was perhaps my first example of a professional woman, showing me that being graceful and being in command weren’t mutually exclusive.

Mrs. Obama went on talking about racial discrimination her granddad faced as a young man. She eventually concluded the tribute with lovely words:

Their stories are woven together with my own; their sacrifices and successes are braided into everything I’ve become.
