Date September 16, 2019

Beverly Hills 90210 actor Brian Turk has passed away at the age of 49, more than a year after he was first diagnosed with brain cancer.

Brian Turk lost his battle to cancer

The veteran actor and dad-of-one, who was best known for his role on Beverley Hills 902010 and also starred in HBOs Carnivale, ER, and Boy Meets World, died on Friday 13. Turk also had many film credits to his name including American Pie 2, Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles, and The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

TMZ confirmed the actor's death through his rep, with the actor's diagnosis recently becoming terminal.

The actor is survived by his spouse and eight-year-old son.

A crowd-funding page, called In Support of the Brian Turk Family, was set up in July in support of Turk and his loved ones.

"Just over a year ago our dear friend, Brian Turk, was diagnosed with cancer, being the selfless and private person that he is, Brian kept this quiet so as not to concern his family and friends. Unfortunately, the cancer has now become terminal."

The fundraising campaign has raised over $26,000 of its goal of $50,000, over the past 15 months. Yet, it didn't help to save Brian's life.
