'Tis the season and the Trump family have an important message for Americans. Donald and Melania Trump's Christmas message reflected a sweet moment of love and appreciation which they happily shared with everyone around the world.

A Presidential celebration

How does a President celebrate Christmas? This year, the POTUS and his wife decided to keep things really festive. The First Couple kickstarted Christmas Eve by attending a religious service at the Southern Baptist Convention-affiliated church. Then later in the day, Donald Trump and Melania chose to enjoy one-on-one time so they had a holiday dinner in the ballroom of his private club, Time reports.

This seemed like the perfect way to celebrate the holidays. To make things even cooler, Melania continued her tradition of picking up the phone to track down Santa for the kids.

A year ago, a video was shared showing Melania And Donald Trump on the phone with children on Christmas Eve. The couple was seated in front of the fireplace surrounded by Christmas decorations as they fielded calls from kids attempting to find Santa.

It was pretty cool of Melania to continue the tradition this year, wasn't it?

A message from the Trumps

Donald and Melania Trump shared a Christmas video in which they extended their well-wishes to everyone.

In the one-minute clip posted on the FLOTUS' Twitter page, Melania kicked things off by wishing "each and every American" a Merry Christmas on behalf of herself and her husband.

Donald Trump then took over and expressed his appreciation to those who join hands to make things better and also to the men and women of the military.

In addition, the First Couple appreciated the law enforcement officials and others who do all they can to protect and serve.

In response to the video, many people wished the First Family joyful holidays as well.

In comparison to 2018

Last year, President Trump and First Lady Melania shared a lovely Christmas portrait of themselves holding hands with matching smiles on their faces.

They posted a Christmas video message as well.

Did you notice these three main differences between last year and this year's video?

  1. The atmosphere is much brighter this year, unlike the 2018 clip which seemed a little gloomy.
  2. The theme of giving special shoutouts to military men and women, and encouraging the spirit of generosity remains the same. But while Donald Trump kicked off the video message in 2018, it was Melania's turn to do so this year.
  3. The outfit theme of 2018 was red and green which made sense. Melania had on a green dress while her husband had on a red tie. This year was mostly red as Donald Trump matched his tie to Melania's red dress.

Every holiday, Melania and Donald Trump speak to the nation. Their message is usually one of gratitude, love and the religious symbolism of Christmas. This year, they did the same and people applauded their efforts. As the year comes to an end, it's nice to hear the President address the country and join in the festivities of the season.

Merry Christmas to all.
