Late Edd Byrnes's Son Logan Is A Handsome Man, Who Inherited His Father’s Good Looks

Date January 13, 2020

Edd Byrne had a very interesting life. He managed to transition from rags to riches after starting a successful career in movies. Playing Kookie in 77 Sunset Strip made him famous and portraying Vince Fontaine in an iconic musical Grease became the jewel of his career. But who is Edd Byrnes’ son?

Edd Byrnes and his son

In 1962, Byrnes tied the knot with a fellow actress, Asa Maynor. The pair were married for 9 years and welcomed their one and only child, Logan Byrnes.

Logan inherited his dad’s undeniable charm and handsomeness so there is no surprise that he decided to share his good looks with the rest of the world. But he didn’t follow his parents’ career path.

Instead, Byrnes junior studied law and became a litigation and trial attorney. A few years later, he found a different passion – broadcasting.

Logan worked as an anchor for a number of news programs, as well as covering numerous red carpet events. In 2016, he joined the Fox 11 news team and worked there for 2 years before switching to the KUSI news team.

Does Logan Byrnes, son of Edd Byrnes, have a family? In 2014, Logan, who was 48 at that time, proposed to his girlfriend Megan Rourke while the couple was celebrating the New Year’s Eve in Paris and she said ‘yes’!

Byrnes commented:

I had a bottle of Moet champagne in my backpack, and the ring from Lux Bond & Green and the fireworks were going off over head and we were at the park at the Louvre. I had figured what is the most romantic place there is and it’s Paris so that was the plan I made to ask her to marry me.

It is the first marriage for Logan and it looks like it will be the last one. He and Meghan must have gone on a lot of trips together as the broadcaster is known for his love of travel. Moreover, he has quite a few talents:

  • he is a certified ski instructor;
  • he is a professional scuba diver;
  • he is good at triathlons.

Losing his dad

Even though his parents divorced, Logan had a very close bond with his famous father. Edd passed away last week and the devastating news broke Logan’s heart. He honored his dad with a sweet post on Twitter, noting that he lost ‘one of his best friends.’

Sadly, Edd will not come back and won't comb his hair in his signature Kookie move anymore. Nonetheless, it doesn't mean that he will be forgotten. Logan will always keep a special place for his late father in his heart and continue his legacy. We are certain that Byrnes was extremely proud of his son’s amazing achievements and will be watching over him from heaven.
