The bride-to-be is a 26-year-old Ph.D. student at the University of Texas, implying she is 39 years younger than her partner Dennis. Although the two seem to be committed to each other, not everybody supports such a relationship.

The Houston-born celebrity happens to be unfazed by social media's accusations of a massive age gap between him and his fiancée Laura Savoie.

He opened up about this situation in a recent interview with The Guardian. Despite some hurtful remarks, Dennis Quaid and Laura Savoie don't take it personally and keep enjoying their romance.

The Big Easy star added that he had never intended to find someone of Laura's age. It just happened thanks to fate.
