Losing weight isn't always easy and for Jamie Oliver, he had to make a big switch to his eating habit to achieve the change he wanted.

In 2018, the famous TV chef revealed that he considered himself overweight and he decided to do something about it.

According to Mirror, Jamie Oliver announced that he was enlisting the help of celebrity trainer Jamie Sawyer to help him get his body in shape.

The TV personality instinctually realized that he was much heavier than he should be and was ready to make an important change.

Today, Jamie has succeeded in dropping quite a few pounds. In fact, it has been reported that he's now about 28 pounds lighter than he used to be, and it's all thanks to a crucial switch in his eating habits.

The TV chef has shared that he adopted a vegetarian-based diet and has been creating some recipes in that area too.

Jamie told Radio Times that he lost the weight by eating more vegetables and becoming more active. The switch to a vegetarian diet was incredibly transformative and the benefits have been far beyond weight loss, he revealed.

He went on to add that he incorporated nuts into his diet and made healthier choices overall.

In the interview, Jamie added he didn't lose weight by starving himself or restricting food intake.

I lost (weight) quite quickly and I didn’t do it through not eating. I ate a lot, more than I was used to.
