"I See Things Differently:" Kevin Hart Reflects On The Life Lessons He's Learned Since His Near-Fatal Car Crash

Kevin Hart is seeing a different side of life following the major car accident he was involved in.

On September 1, the comedian was seriously injured while in his vintage Plymouth Barracuda which was reportedly driven by his friend Jared Black. The car crashed through wooden fencing in Malibu, endangering the lives of those in it.

Shortly after the accident, Kevin Hart was reported to have suffered some injuries which meant he had to undergo surgery.

It's assumed that the actor has been laying low and recovering since the car accident. But recently, he spoke about it for the first time and revealed how the whole thing changed his perspective.

In a video posted to his social media account on Tuesday, Kevin Hart gave a brief glimpse into his ordeal including the time he spent at the hospital and how he regained his health after surgery. He has also been undergoing some physical therapy as he recovers.

Kevin explained that he saw this as a sign from God to "sit down" and take things slow.

The video featured some of his recovery processes including shots of him exercising his legs and lifting weights while also spending some quality time with his three children. Reflecting on the change in perspective he now has, the actor said:

After my accident, I see things differently. I see life from a whole new perspective. My appreciation for life is through the roof,

He expressed his gratitude to his fans, family, and friends for their constant love and support.

Kevin advised that people shouldn't take life for granted because "tomorrow's not promised," and he expressed his gratefulness for being alive.
