Maurice Gibb's death in 2003 at the age of 53 came as a surprise to his fans. He was most popularly known as one of the members of the Bee Gees musical band and for years, he entertained with his singing talents.

According to BillBoard, autopsy reports revealed that Maurice Gibb passed away as a result of a blood flow restriction caused by the twisting of his small intestine and bowel. He died three days after he suffered a cardiac arrest just prior to undergoing emergency surgery for an intestinal blockage.

Even though he's gone, his successful musical career remains a testament to his impressive talents.

A man says he's Maurice Gibb's son

In what This Morning host Phillip Schofield described as a "hell of a tale," a man claimed he had proof that his long lost father was actually the late Maurice Gibb.

Nick Endacott appeared on the show and shared the story of how he was put up for adoption when he was a baby. He ended up being adopted when he was 18 months old and many years later, he became curious about who his birth parents were.

As an adult, Nick was determined to find answers and in 2003 he finally found and reunited with his birth mother. However, his story didn't end there as Nick kept searching for his father even after he was misinformed about his biological dad's identity.

He decided it was time to take matters into his own hands so he sent a DNA swab to an ancestry service. The results revealed an interesting match, a half brother named Adam Gibb. As it turned out, Adam was a young man already known to be Maurice Gibb's son.

Nick opened up about the whole experience while on This Morning and said he was relieved that, even though Maurice had passed on, he could now get closure about who his family was.

Nick inherited his father's musical genes

Even though he might not have known who his biological father was for most of his life, Nick Endacott could have actually inherited the late singer's musical skills.

Nick (stage name Nick Conroy) is a vocalist, songwriter, and producer. According to Reverbnation, Nick has been performing for more than 20 years across the UK and Europe.

Maurice Gibb's children are Adam and Samantha. He had them both while he was married to Yvonne Spenceley Gibb.

Nick Endacott seemed to have come to quite the discovery about himself and his ancestry. It was unfortunate that he didn't meet his father when he was alive, but all the same, he got some closure, which certainly made things easier to accept.

How cool it must have been to find out he was related to a musical legend!
