He is also quite vocal about relationships – his personal relationships, included. Maher has a strong view on marriage which is the reason why he has been avoiding it for so long.

The TV star has never been married and he has no wish to change his relationship status either. He stated:

I'm the last of my guy friends to have never gotten married, and their wives — they don't want them playing with me. I'm like the escaped slave — I bring news of freedom.

Despite that, Bill doesn’t seem to mind dating. However, some people noticed that the 63-year-old appears to prefer women of color.

It looks like for Maher, marriage is a prison. Nonetheless, he doesn’t even know what he loses when sticking to such a belief. Who knows, maybe one day he will meet a woman who will change his mind.
