Shemar Moore talks on Don Cornelius

According to Shemar Moore, Don Cornelius suffered from dementia or Alzheimer’s for many years. The matter is that Cornelius underwent a brain surgery back in 1982, which drastically changed his life.

Shemar Moore revealed that the Soul Train creator had severe seizures and headaches for the last 15 years of his life. Don was never the same after his health struggles.

Shemar told in an interview with ET:

I had heard rumors that it was early dementia, Alzheimer's, things like that. I'd heard that he was sick.

The actor added:

I hope that wherever he is now, he's at peace. I don't know how he got to this place. I don't know what made him take his own life.

As we mentioned already, Don Cornelius was a proud father of two wonderful sons, Tony and Raymond. Tony Cornelius worked alongside his famous father on Soul Train.

The young man still keeps praising his work with his talented father. Tony said that Don was a hard worker. He did his best and worked extremely hard so that people could enjoy his show.

Tony explained:

I think he really worked extremely hard to make sure that he presented a project that people could really enjoy.
