Baby #2: Single Dad Andy Cohen Is Thinking Of Having A 2nd Child As He Still Has "At Least One Embryo"

Date December 24, 2019 14:36

Bravo Andy Cohen became the father for the very first time at 50, and it’s been an uneasy decision to have made. In February 2019, the dad-of-one announced he had welcomed a son, named Benjamin Allen, via surrogacy.

The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host got inspired by his fellow star, Hoda Kotb, who welcomed two daughters through adoption in her 50s, too. Is he thinking of having another child?

#1 Andy Cohen’s second baby

The Bravo star keeps his hands full with his 10-month-old son, Benjamin Allen. Yet, Andy can’t stop thinking of adding another member to his tiny family.

During SiriusXM Radio Andy’s Jeff Lewis Live, Andy Cohen opened up about the possibility of having a second baby since he has “at least one embryo.” It is not an easy decision to make, as he’s going to raise two at once kids on his own.

#2 Who helps Andy Cohen raise his son?

Back in February 2019, the TV personality confessed he did not want to wait for somebody to have a child with. He doesn’t think a lot about dating a guy or specifically be with someone who can help him have a child.

It’s not something in your mind — ‘Oh, I want to do this alone.’ But I like being alone. I didn’t want to wait. To me, it would have to be a very special person to say, ‘Let’s do this together.’ And I would love that, and that person could be having coffee down the street at this moment, and I’ll meet him soon.

It doesn’t mean that Andy won’t continue dating guys, though. He added that he would instead reconsider the types of men he would be dating due to his fatherhood. Nonetheless, Cohen has a bunch of help from:

  • His family.
  • Friends.
  • Colleagues and fellow stars.

#3 Andy Cohen on surrogacy

Since the single dad knows what is that to welcome a child through surrogacy or adoption, he couldn’t hold his rage against Donald Trump’s anti-surrogacy judicial appointee, Sarah Pitlyk.

What she has done is made this country a less safe and fair place for people whose greatest wish is to have a family, and I think that ought to be a crime. Judge Pitlyk, I got a shipment of poopy diapers coming your way, on behalf of my son.

We are standing by Andy Cohen’s claim. Not every person is fortunate to conceive, so what people should do when they can’t have children on their own? The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host has proved he is a hands-on dad to his only son, and it shouldn’t go unnoticed to others!
