The then 23-year-old reportedly took a trip to Scarlett's birthplace to ask her father for his blessing before getting down on one knee and offering the Harry Potter star a gorgeous yellow diamond.

After four years of being engaged, Cooper and Scarlett have finally taken the leap into married life.

Cooper announced the happy news on social media as he posted a picture of the couple taken at the Ventura County courthouse.

The son of the Playboy mogul revealed, in the caption, that he and Scarlett "have made it officially legal" and they couldn't the happier. He added:

Cheers to a life full of love, happiness, adventure, and great purpose.

He went on to declare his love for his new wife and revealed that they are planning their big wedding celebrations to take place sometime in the future.

Scarlett, who played Pansy Parkinson in the Harry Potter movies also shared a few words about being "legally married" to Cooper. She posted the same courthouse photo as her husband and confirmed that they are in the process of planning an official wedding where they will celebrate this commitment with their loved ones.

In April 2019, the Hollywood Reporter revealed that he stepped down from his role as a top executive in Playboy so as to focus on his own media company Hefner Media Corporation.
