'NCIS: New Orleans' Star Lucas Black Reveals Why He Really Left The Show: “This Job Isn’t Easy For Me”

Lucas Black from NCIS: New Orleans knows how to exit with a bang and so does his character. The actor had been playing Special Agent Christopher LaSalle since 2014 but he decided that it’s time for him to follow a different path.

How did Lucas Black leave NCIS? Well, his character was shot, twice. Christopher LaSalle was deadly wounded, catching bullets in his arm and stomach.

It’s extremely difficult to say goodbye to your favorite character but we have to accept that the 6th season was his last one. But why did he choose to depart?

Don’t worry, NCIS: New Orleans’ fans, there hasn’t been any drama involved. Lucas Black didn’t leave on a whim. Instead, it was a carefully thought-through decision.

In fact, the actor decided to put his family first and his career second. Black revealed he simply wants to spend more time with his wife and three children.

He explained:

The show has been so good to me over the years. Exceeded my expectations and goals. But this job isn't easy for me. There's a lot of priorities in my life that get sacrificed for me to be here. But it's time for me to focus on those priorities in my life.

Sometimes, celebrities might use “family” as an excuse to get rid of the unwanted job but it looks like Black is being genuine.
