A pregnant woman got upset after a restaurant denied her service because of the outfit she chose to wear.
Charisha Gobin said she was hungry and stopped by the restaurant for something to eat. When she got there, one of the servers refused her entry saying they had a "no shoes, no shirt, no service" policy.
Server stated that because Charisha was wearing a crop top that had her baby bump showing, her outfit wasn't appropriate for the restaurant, but Charisha believed there was more to it than that.
The mom, who was seven-and-a-half months pregnant with twins at the time, said she could not believe it after the waitress asked her to leave. While speaking with CBS News, she expressed her indignation;
I said, ‘Are you being serious with me right now?’ And she said, ‘Yep, you can't be here.'
Charisha believed she was being discriminated against as she felt that, if she was not so heavily pregnant, the restaurant wouldn't have had a problem with how she was dressed.
She later took to social media to share what happened and said that most of the commenters agreed that the restaurant was out of line for kicking her out.
While speaking with KIRO 7, the server in question gave further explanation as to why Charisha was refused entry. She said that even though the pregnant woman was wearing a shirt, it didn't cover up enough to count.
The waitress, who spoke anonymously, said that she would have asked any customer, pregnant or not, to cover up if they showed up in a crop top like that.
As for Charisha, she insisted that she was absolutely wearing a shirt which didn't even have an open cleavage.
It’s pretty ridiculous I was shamed in the first place and had to drive across town to eat.
She revealed that the restaurant had definitely lost her as a customer as she would not be returning.
Is Charisha in the wrong here for the outfit? Or was she judged too harshly for her clothes?
