She was forced to stop breastfeeding and hand the baby over to her husband while she made a desperate effort to cover herself up.

Is breastfeeding on planes wrong?

The disruption affected not just her but her baby as well. Payne was further upset by the mixed signals she got from the staff after a female attendant approached her to apologize. She checked the airline's policy on breastfeeding and confirmed that the company's policy was fully supportive of breastfeeding at all times.

EasyJet joins a growing list of individual and corporate efforts to control when and how women breastfeed their children in public places. Recently, journalist Virginia Blackburn sparked outrage when she called out public breastfeeding on This Morning.

Blackburn claimed that women who engage in it lack consideration for the people who have to watch them. But experts insist that there are no restrictions to breastfeeding on a plane. Despite the fact that it can be daunting for new moms, picking window seats, keeping yourself hydrated and wearing enough layers are helpful tips to pull it off with ease.
