Born on June 18, the adorable baby joins big sister Mia Grace who is apparently equally delighted to have a new baby in the family. Zara lost her last baby in 2016, and the new birth is a sigh of relief for her and her husband Mike.

Oddly, the couple did not announce the name of their baby till well after a week had passed. And it is starting to seem like a trend with members of the royal family. In April, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge held off for four days before they announced their son’s name, Prince Louis.

Previously the couple took six days before announcing the name of their first daughter, Mia Grace. But why is it taking so long for royal baby names to be revealed?

Apparently, Her Majesty has to approve all baby names before they are announced. And seeing as the members of the royal family cannot just stroll into the Palace and ask the Queen for approval, they have to wait until she says the names are suitable.

Zara Tindall may not have a title, but she is still a royal and is obligated to follow the royal rules and traditions. Earlier in April, Kensington Palace announce the name of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s baby on Twitter.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles. The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.

Observers believe that he was named for Prince Louis Alexander of Battenberg, the grandfather of Prince Phillip, and Duke of Edinburg. Little Lena will not have a title like her mother, but her connection to the Queen is on its own a special thing.
