The reported abductor is a 24-year-old immigrant from Mexico, Cristhian Bahena Rivera, who has been illegally living in the country for almost 7 years.

According to the police, Rivera led authorities to a body, dressed in Tibbetts' clothing. However, they did not confirm whether the body belongs to the missing girl.

As for the motive, the suspect explained he saw Mollie at the street and approached her. At some point, the girl took out her cell phone and warned she would call the police. Then, she took off running and he ran after her. Rivera didn’t mention any particular reason he chose to abduct her.

It’s hard to imagine the grief of Mollie’s parents since she went missing. We ask everyone to respect their privacy. The best thing we all can do right now is to pray for this family. God bless them.
