According to the statistics from the Adoption Network, more than 60% of children in foster care spend 2 to 5 years in the system before they get adopted by the new family. Around 20% spend 5 or more years in foster care before the adoption. Sometimes, kids never get adopted.

10-years-old Ivey Zezulka has spent 10 years in foster care. All this time she was dreaming about getting a family one day. When her dream finally came true, she couldn’t keep emotions.

Ivey felt both joy and relief when she found out about the upcoming adoption. But she was happy not only for herself: along with Ivey, her two siblings will also be adopted by the same family.

The adoption process has already been finalized. We are sure that Paige and Daniel Zezulka will be perfect parents!

In the interview with Good Morning America, Paige said that Ivey already feels perfect:

God was amazing. The first night she moved in, she asked if she could call us mom and dad. The second day, she asked if she could stay forever.

Of course, it is not easy to become adoptive parents, and it takes so much time and efforts to build good relations with a child. Nevertheless, it’s worth it.
