Mother Used Toothpaste To Teach Her Daughter A Meaningful Lesson. To Her Surprise, This Method Went Viral

A story of one mother who used toothpaste to teach her daughter a meaningful lesson prior to starting a school went viral all over the Internet. Do you want to find out what this smart woman did?

A lesson about the power of words

Amy Beth Gardner from Cleveland, Tennessee did something special to prepare her daughter for the middle school. She decided to teach her a lesson she would probably never learn at the classes. A lesson about the power of words!

The day before Beth’s daughter, Breonna, was supposed to start middle school, the mother asked her to do one simple thing – to squeeze toothpaste onto a plate.

When the girl did exactly what her mother had told her, Beth then calmly asked her to put all the toothpaste back in the tube. You may ask, “What’s the point?”

In fact, Breonna asked almost the same. Beth described her daughter’s vivid emotions on Facebook:

She began exclaiming things like ‘But I can't!’ and ‘It won't be like it was before!’

After her daughter’s protest, Gardner told the girl to remember the plate of toothpaste for the rest of her life. Beth said:

Just like this toothpaste, once the words leave your mouth, you can't take them back.

We all have to learn this lesson too!

The smart mother explained this idea with toothpaste as a certain way to prepare her daughter for the adult life. To some extent, middle school is indeed a good exam before entering ‘the big world’.

It’s very important to teach our children from the early years to take responsibility for their own words. Maybe, in this case, the problem of bullying at schools will disappear once and for all.

What do you think about Beth’s method of teaching her daughter the ‘power of words’ lesson? Will you try it on your children? Or maybe, you have your own unusual tips of raising kids. Please, share them in the comments.
