Obesity is enemy #1 for the health overall. Primarily it affects pregnancy or even prevents a female from getting pregnant without any struggles.

Being overweight can negatively impact fertility or even IVF. Additionally, there is some main harm which might significantly put woman's health under risk: gestational diabetes, cardiac issues, sleep apnea, unsuccessful vaginal delivery, the possibility of miscarriage or stillbirth, high blood pressure, etc.

Naturally, all these health matters will be dangerous and harmful for a baby in the future. Thus obesity isn't the best option for pregnancy whatsoever.

Baby, the dream is coming true

Sarah Schmeider, Brisbane teacher, decided to change her life forever, especially for one purpose: to get pregnant out of problems.

She was suffering from obesity even in the younger age and was bullied for her weight and appearance. It led to some mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. Sarah was also teased as a teacher because she was "too big."

Though she found a love of her life, she couldn't get pregnant. She had a miscarriage, and other attempts of having a baby ended in vain. That moment Brisbane teacher made up her mind about losing weight.

[It was] getting what my husband and I always wanted, and that is to have a baby.

Schmeider stuck to the Cambridge Weight Plan, flexible but effective weight loss program designed individually for a person.

Part of me assumed this is always how I was going to be, overweight. But it doesn’t have to be like that – it is possible to change.

During 2 years she tried to get rid of obesity, and you know what? She was able to lose 154 lbs just to start a family. Sarah's still in disbelief of what journey she's made so far.

Preventing obesity in adults

There is a bunch of obesity prevention programs and approaches all around the world. Hence, there are some possible ways:

  1. Eat healthy food such as fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs, etc. The goods full of calories and energetic appliances will significantly help to decrease weight.
  2. Try to eat 5-6 times a day in small portions. It's necessary to measure and divide large servings into several small ones.
  3. Avoid junky and sweaty products. They consist of lots of oil, sugar, and other bad ingredients, so it would be perfect not to use them.
  4. Do physical activity. Even 10-20 minutes of intense walking, cardio exercises or something minor indoors will help lose weight.
  5. If you can't help yourself, address the doctor and trainer who will design an individual program for you.
