Date May 29, 2018 17:49

Students are concerned with the inability of lawmakers to tighten gun control rules in the country. Twitter got flooded with the disturbing hashtag #IfIDieInASchoolShooting, which is called one of the saddest propaganda on social network.

This year shootings

School shootings became a concerning issue this year. 31 people passed away after 22 (!) assault attempts. The scariest two were the Texas school shooting and Florida shooting.

10 people died in Santa Fe High School; 17 died in Parkland High School. 31 deceased is the number that exceeds military casualties this year.

Students noticed the lawmakers have no desire to increase the awareness and tighter gun control, so they decided to speak out loud about the issue on social networks.

Twitter activity

Conscious students began flooding Twitter with “the most tragic hashtag ever” two weeks ago. They share their concern about other probable tragedies, lost possibilities, and deceased people.

Some of the most heartbreaking posts evoke sad images and well up the eyes with tears.

Waiting for progress

Strict gun control may help decrease the amount of weapon in free use, thus increasing the safety levels. Students agree, fewer guns – fewer casualties.

However, the lawmakers have another opinion and, instead of working towards decreasing the number of guns, they opted for arming the school staff “to grant the safety” to students.

Well, what is your opinion on the issue? Who is right and who is wrong in this everlasting “guns war”? Share your thoughts in the comments.
