First, it's important to note that the girl in question, Zelaya Guevara, has been battling a rare form of leukemia since she was 2.

Zelaya is a fighter and her will to live paid off recently after doctors told her family that the leukemia is now in remission. Because of this, she got a chance to Make-A-Wish and instead of asking to meet a famous celebrity, she did something amazing.

Her wish came true

The 8-year-old asked the organization to help children and families in the Island of Puerto Rico which was ravaged by Hurricane Maria in 2017.

She said:

Please help them. Please send them clean water, stuff babies and kids need to stay healthy. That would be my Wish come true.

Pattie Mullins, CEO of Maka-A-Wish Tri-counties confirmed to ABC that Zelaya's wish was unusual and not one they received often from children. It's no surprise then that they granted her wish wholeheartedly. 1500 toys have been gathered in addition to meals which will be handed out this Saturday.

Online, people are cheering for this brave youngster. We can't wait for her to get back to being healthy again.
