Homeless Man Was Told He Couldn't Be Hired Unless He Shaved Beard: Police Officer Decided To Help Him

Date July 24, 2018 12:51

Good deeds are not often captured on cameras. But when they are, it’s no surprise they go viral. On Facebook, a woman shared a snap that has now 20 thousand likes, more than 10 thousand shares, and countless comments.

What is it all about?

As Kelly Duvall wrote in the caption, her daughter went to the Circle K gas station where she saw an officer shaving a homeless man’s beard. When she went inside the store and offered the Officer Carlson a drink, he revealed that the homeless man was looking for a job at McDonald’s next door:

They wouldn't hire him unless he shaved his beard. So the officer went and got some clippers and shaved the man's beard so he could go back and get a job!

The act of kindness melted Facebook users’ hearts who flooded the comment section, showering Officer Carlson with warmest words for having an incredibly big heart and helping the man.

Did he get a job?

According to Kelly Duvall’s update, the homeless man (whose name is Philip) returned to McDonald’s to officially take the application. We don’t know if he has been hired but really hope so.

This is not the first time police officers give homeless people a makeover. Not long ago, NY cops organized transformation for a homeless man named Bobby that included shave, shower, and a new trendy haircut!
