A young woman from Maryland, Solara Jaafar, was just a two-year-old girl when she experienced the worst day in her life – she was burnt in a kerosene explosion.
Her younger 9-month-old brother died after the incident, and Solara received the third degree burns across 70% of her body, and spent 6 months in a coma.
When Solara Jaafar started going to school, she faced bullying, and other kids often called her a monster because of the way she looked.
Solara Jaafar remembers that horrible day with tears on her eyes.
It happened on December 26th 1997, my parents were celebrating their anniversary and they had a really big Christmas party. The house exploded because there was a can and they had kerosene in it and somebody lit it and the whole house went up into flames.
But Solara Jaafar deserves other life, she wants to stop the bullying after facing it for many years. That is why, she decided that the transformation will undoubtedly become the first and big step towards a new and happy life.
Now, she looks so much different!
